Adobe Photoshop is a powerful and flexible package that has become the standard image manipulation software for print and electronic publishers. This introductory course is intended for designers, editors, marketers and production staff with little or no knowledge of Photoshop.

The course will introduce you to the process of modification and montaging of images, from the initial scan or digital photograph, through to final preparation for print or web publishing.

Group sizes are kept deliberately small, ensuring that you get the individual attention you need as you work through a number of confidence-building exercises.

Note: This course is taught using Adobe CS3.

Your tutor

Meg Richardson is a freelance graphic designer, typographer, book binder and trainer who has worked for a wide range of clients, designing and illustrating anything from small booklets to large academic volumes. Meg has been a visiting lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and De Montford University. Her limited edition artists’ books are in major collections such as the Tate Britain and the British Library. She is an Adobe Certified Instructor in CS3 and CS4.

Note that most of our short courses can also be run as in-company events.
